Nice place with open flame for those who appreciate grilled meat and good beer.
Service in the evening is sometimes a bit slow, however the explanation is a non-stop flow of visitors and what is significant - the majority of them are locals and seem to be constant visitors of this place.
Mixed grill, chicken filet, scampi garlic and a steak as well as Kwak and Mort Subite Kriek were beyond praise, while Ribs were a bit with a swine flavor.

as it was to be our first ever night in bruges we thought we ought to make a reservation with it being the very busy christmas period.we did so through resto bookings and were glad we did (this restaurant is a 5 minute stroll from the burg so we probably wouldn't have stumbled across it) as we watched our steaks and ribs being cooked over the open fire while the waiter served us to our beers and wines. really pleasant evening, pleasant staff and a good atmosphere.thanks.

Best restaurant in Belgium - great food cooked on an open fire in the main eating area. Really nice staff and top notch food. I recommend it to everyone I know who goes to Bruges and they all thank me for the recommendation!

Warm welcome, great range of beers with good advice on choosing. Huge portions of meats grilled over open fire. A good location a pleasant canal side walk away from the more crowded central streets.

Went last year as a group but was a tad disappointed with meal, service and price muddle. However this year decided to give it a second chance as we were only four. Cooking ribs on the open fire, a great beer range and a genuine Belgian 'ambience' left us all with full stomachs, taste buds well wetted and a feeling that we had had a fantastic meal at a very reasonable cost.
We will return again next year

Visited whilst on a city break to Bruges after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. It's a little off the standard Bruges tourist area, but there is nothing wrong with that...! Booked through restobookings prior to arrival as I had read that it can get busy.
Wasn't too busy on our visit - maybe because we were dining quite early at 7:00pm. By the we left is was pretty full though - always worth booking in advance.
All my family had meat of some kind, despite every special being fish / seafood.. My kids had chicken and ribs, whilst my wife and I had steak and mixed grill. All the meat was cooked superbly, but a special mention has to be made for the ribs - they were *superb*

We were made to feel very welcome the minute we arrived. Excellent service and a great atmosphere. We had the 3 course menu for €35 and the food was fantastic. Our steaks were cooked to perfection too! Will go back!

This little gem is very popular and it's wise to book. A straightforward menu, with local specialities and quality meats grilled on an open wood fire. Garlic prawns were exceptional, beef was tender and flavoursome with a simple garnish.
Staff are very friendly, as are the customers who are mainly locals. A great laid-back atmosphere.
It's worth booking (RestoBookings is very efficient and reliable), as it's not that big and is becoming more popular.
